31st AAS/AIAA Space Flight Mechanics Meeting, Virtual

February 1 - February 4

31st AAS/AIAA Space Flight Mechanics Meeting,
Virtual

The 31st Space Flight Mechanics Meeting, hosted by the American Astronautical Society (AAS) and cohosted by American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), will be held February 1-4, 2021. Due to the pandemic, this conference will be held virtually rather than at the physical site in Charlotte, North Carolina. The conference is organized by the AAS Space Flight Mechanics Committee and the AIAA Astrodynamics Technical Committee.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, the conference organizers in agreement with officials from the AAS have decided not to conduct an in-person event for the Winter 2021 AAS/AIAA 31st Space Flight Mechanics Meeting. The physical conference that was to be located at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina will instead be hosted as a virtual conference.

We will host the virtual conference during the originally scheduled conference dates (February 1-4, 2021). However, the full agenda is to be replaced with sessions available online. We are planning to offer the ability to upload video presentations of papers, and host questions and answer sessions with the speakers. Per previous practice, papers, slides — and for this conference, videos — will be available to registered attendees during and after the conference. After the details are worked out, more information will be available on this conference website and through communications with the authors and attendees.

While we understand this may be disappointing for many of you, we believe that this is the most prudent course of action at this time to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Thank you for your understanding through all of this. We hope that you and your family stay safe and healthy and look forward to seeing you virtually this winter or in-person at one of our conferences next year.
