Exotrail used its miniature Hall-effect thruster in orbit to impulse a NanoAvionics R2 cubesat of less than 100 kg to change its semi-major axis by 700 meters.
This offers an opportunity to use this technology on small satellites for collision-avoidance maneuvers, decrease the satellite’s altitude and change its inclination. It also offers the opportunity to use an inexpensive rideshare flights and propel themselves to their optimal orbits. Exotrail also offers ExoMG solution to maintain the orbit and to deorbit at the end of the satellite missions.
