Firefly Aerospace wants to increase production and work on a medium-class launch vehicle, Beta.
$125 million of the funding would go to production improvements and the rest to support a medium-class vehicle capable of placing 10 tons into orbit.
The development phase was $200 million, funded by Max Polyakov and Noosphere Venture Partners, and the additional funding would come from other sources.
Firefly Alpha vehicle’s first launch will be in “a few short weeks” and the vehicle would fly by early 2024.
