President Trump vetoed the FY2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
The bill passed the House and Senate, but whether or not Congress will override this harmful veto is still unknown. The House is expected to try on Monday.
Trump’s arguments are that this legislation requires military installations named in honor of Confederate soldiers to be renamed, and Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which protects Internet companies from liability for content posted by third parties.
