On December 19, 2015, in accordance with the ISS program, the Progress M-28M transport cargo vehicle (TGC), having completed its mission, undocked at 10:35 Moscow time from the International Space Station.
In accordance with the calculations of the specialists of the ballistic and navigation support service of the MCC at 13:42 Moscow time, the main engine of the Progress M-28M TGK was switched on for deceleration, after which the spacecraft left orbit.
The fall of unburnt structural elements of the cargo ship occurred at 14:28 Moscow time in a given area of the non-navigable part of the Pacific Ocean.
TGK Progress M-28M has been part of the orbital station since July 5, 2015. After completing the main task of delivering the cargoes necessary for the operation of the ISS, during the flight of the transport vehicle as part of the ISS, 3 orbit corrections and 1 space debris evasion maneuver were performed using its engines.
