TelOne is a state-owned telecommunications company and will use the service of Eutelsat’s satellite broadband division, Konnect Africa.
Eutelsat Konnect provides coverage of 75-gigabit per second (Gbps) of Ka-band across a network of 65 spot beams.
The number of internet users in Zimbabwe in July 2016 was about 3.3 million, representing 21% of its population (15.9 million) at the time. By December 2019, Internet World Stats reported 8.4 million internet users in Zimbabwe. This represents 56.5% of its population (14.8 million).
